Individual Work
Bringing together psychological, physiological, and contextual perspectives to restore capacity and stabilise performance under sustained demand
This work brings together psychological, physiological, and contextual perspectives to understand what is driving strain and how to shift it.
The aims are practical: restore capacity, build more sustainable ways of responding to ongoing demands, improve and stabilise performance. It is available for individuals, leaders, teams, and organisations.
Who This Work Is For
The Approach
The approach treats stress as a whole-system process. At a physiological level, the body continuously manages resources through a process known as allostasis — simplified as the "body budget". Every demand, cognitive, emotional, relational, or physical, draws from that budget. Recovery, sleep, nutrition, and supportive environments replenish it.
When demands consistently exceed recovery, the system becomes strained. This shows up as fatigue, reactivity, reduced clarity, poorer decisions, and difficulty sustaining performance. The work maps how this process is unfolding across five interconnected areas.

Pace, habits, nutrition, sleep, sources of support, friction, and co-regulation
Environment

Mindset
Interpretation, attention, and habitual responses to pressure
Purpose
What is being prioritised and why

Executive FiRE Index®
Use of the Executive FiRE Index® to map resilience patterns at individual and team level. Provides structured insight for targeted development.
Learn More →Stress leaves a measurable physiological signature. As part of resilience and performance coaching, I sometimes suggest clients consider a functional blood panel to build a clearer picture of how chronic pressure is affecting the body. I work with FunctionalDX, a UK-based functional diagnostics provider. Results are used as contextual information within our work together; I do not interpret them in a medical capacity, and any clinical concerns are referred to your GP.
Outcome
The outcome is not the removal of pressure. In most cases, pressure remains.
The aim is a more aware organism that can meet that pressure with greater stability, clearer thinking, more consistent energy, and more deliberate action.
